Naughty America Direct is in Beta
Last month I wrote about the need for an adult iPhone application to distribute porn for iPhone users. While this isn’t quite it, I just read on TechCrunch that Naughty America Direct is in beta and, according to TechCrunch, is:
“…building an Adobe Air-based storefront called Naughty America Direct that is basically an iTunes for porn. The app includes full-length DRM-free scenes for $1.99 each that are available in formats compatible with the iPod and iPhone, and requires no subscription.”
Of course I raced over to the site to get my beta invite using the techcrunch invite code, but they had already run out (figures!). I’ll just have to hope my request sans invite code doesn’t take too long to go through. If anyone else is already in the beta, I’d love to hear what you think.
What I think is best about this is that it gets away from the subscription based model, so you only pay for scenes you’re actually interested in watching. As Naughty America Direct says on their website front page:
“The price per clip seems pretty much perfect: it’s less than a large coffee at Starbucks, and will provide me with several times the enjoyment.”
I like their way of thinking.
