2011 Public Speaking

Code for America – January 11, 2011

I met the Code for America fellows to discuss what it takes to build a community platform, drawing from my experiences with the Twilio developer community, as well as Startup Weekend.

Read more about the talk, and listen the podcast recording here.  Special thank you to Dan Melton for inviting me to speak.

Wordcamp Phoenix – January 29, 2011

Session Name: Engagement: Confessions of a Commitment Phobe

Danielle is Director of Marketing at Twilio, a startup in San Francisco disrupting telecommunications with APIs for making and receiving phone calls and text messages. In this talk, she will share how she has successfully created engagement among Twilio’s developer community of over 20,000 and suggests tactics that even “commitment phobes” can use to increase the meaningful conversation that take place on their blogs, without letting it devour their lives.
